This 1971 Alfa Giulia Super is in for some cosmetic flare. The client will be attending The Bridge in September and wants to add a few small touches. We will be painting the nose cone white and performing minor repair to the rear panel.
Following disassembly, we repaired some of the major imperfections to the nose and rear of the vehicle. The goal was to maintain the patina without sacrificing the repair. I think we nailed it!
The images above showcase the repairs and paint work performed. The front end was to repair the majority of defects but to also keep in mind this was a spot repair, and maintaining patina was important to make the repair flow. The rear end was a challenge. Repairing the corrosion and failing filler and finish while keeping repairs small and outside of the quarter panels. We were able to achieve a very nice color and clear blend. After polishing the transition from original and repair is indistinguishable.
